Young at Heart
Keeping pets and their seniors together.
The Jax & Bash Foundation works to help older adults keep their beloved pets by their side during times of change or challenge. Through our community partners and volunteers, we aim to connect seniors with temporary assistance such as dog walking, essential pet food and supplies, or short-term foster care when needed. We also offer free pet legacy planning through our Legacy & Lifeline Program, helping owners create written care directives that ensure their pets’ well-being in the event of illness, aging, or unforeseen circumstances. When a pet’s long-term care needs to be transferred, our Promise Project helps match animals with loving foster or adoptive homes to carry out those plans with compassion. Services are offered as resources allow and may vary by location and availability. While we can’t guarantee support in every situation, our goal is always the same- to help preserve the comfort and companionship that pets bring to their people.
Veteran Services
Supporting vets & their pets.
Many veterans face challenges providing consistent care for their beloved pets while navigating medical, financial, or housing transitions. The Jax & Bash Foundation has partnerships and community resources to help ease that burden- connecting veterans with programs, supplies, and local support so their companions can stay together whenever possible.
Shelter Care Network
Supporting rescue animals.
We partner with rescues and shelters to strengthen the care network for animals already in need by providing resources, exposure, and community support. Beyond the hands-on, we work to address the systemic issues that contribute to overcrowding and surrender, helping more animals stay safe and supported for the long term, where they belong in their loving homes.
Therapeutic Riding
Healing power through connection.
At The Jax & Bash Foundation, we believe the bond between humans and horses can heal in ways words cannot. Through guided therapeutic riding sessions, children with diverse abilities, survivors, and veterans gain confidence, coordination, and trust—both in themselves and in their equine partners. Our programs provide a calm, supportive environment that fosters emotional growth, physical strength, and a renewed sense of balance for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Legacy & Lifeline Progam
Keeping pets and their people together.
When life takes an unexpected turn, our Legacy & Lifeline program provides short-term aid helping individuals facing hardship, hospitalization, or transition care for their beloved pets until they can be reunited. This program embodies our core mission: no one should have to lose their pet in a time of crisis.
A Bridge to Home – Temporary Foster & Adoption Network
Safe homes and second chances.
Launching in 2026, this initiative will create a network of compassionate foster families and adopters ready to care for pets in need—especially those belonging to community members in crisis, transition, and those having to make end of life decisions.

JBF Leadership Fellowship
Building compassion early.
We offer volunteer and educational opportunities for local university students to connect with local non- profits, high profile business leaders, learn responsibility, and experience the healing joy of service in the non-profit, leadership, and business sectors . These hands-on experiences teach empathy, leadership, and the importance of giving back.
